Washington Parish Council On Aging & Public Transit

Washington Parish Council on Aging is a non-profit corporation promoting the overall welfare and independance of persons sixty years and above in Washington Parish. The Council provides social services such as transportation, home-deliverd meals, congregate meals, recreation and exercise. Other functions of the agency include coordinating and planning with other organizations and acting as an advocate for seniors.

Washington Parish Public Transit offers demand-response and subscription transportation services on a non-emergency basis. Vehicle types include 12 passenger lift-equipped vans and 16 passenger lift-equipped buses. Services are provided curb-to-curb.

Vehicle operating hours are from 6:00am to 4:00pm.
